Background
The Development Authority is seeking to develop a new roadway (Chattsworth
Court) that will service a new business in the Corporate Ridge Industrial
Park. The City has been asked to participate through the use of a County
Contract grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). GDOT has
awarded a grant in an amount not exceed $200,000 for this construction. To
establish the expenditure of these funds and to insure the oversight of this
project, it is necessary that the Development Authority and the City, enter
into a MOU.
Analysis
The new roadway will promote new economic development in the community. By
utilizing GDOT funds, no city funds will be expended.
Financial Considerations
GDOT County Contract funds in an amount not to exceed $200,000 will be used for
this project. Any costs beyond this amount will be the responsibility of the
developer for this site
