Background

Billings Crossing Way located in Billings Crossing Subdivision has ten (10)

residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Billings Crossing Way, located

in Billings Crossing Subdivision. A description of the property is as follows:

All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia, and comprising of all of Billings Crossing Way in

that certain subdivision known as Billings Crossing Subdivision, as said street

is shown upon a map or plat of said subdivision recorded in Plat Book 160,

folio 91 in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,

Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-way must be accepted by Council.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO BILLINGS CROSSING WAY,

LOCATED IN BILLINGS CROSSING SUBDIVISION ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Billings

Crossing Way, located in Billings Crossing Subdivision, a full description of

property on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated August 14, 2007, conveying to Columbus, Georgia

Billings Crossing Way, located in Billings Crossing Subdivision be and the same

is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said

deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court

of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this

reference made a part of this resolution.
