The Detention Basin was constructed for Third Addition to Whitesville Walk and

is 1.11 Acres. The owner has maintained the pond since construction for the

period of at least two (2) years.
Analysis
A deed has been submitted conveying to the City of Columbus a detention basin

located in the Third Addition to Whitesville Walk. Description of property is

as follows: All that lot, tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in

the State of Georgia, County of Muscogee and City of Columbus, and being shown

as "Detention Basin, 1.11 AC." on that certain map or plat entitled "Third

Addition to Whitesville Walk, Lying in Land Lots 62, & 70, 8th District,

Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason and Vinson,

Inc., under date of February 23, 2011, a copy of same being recorded in Plat

Book 163, Folio 21, of the records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court

of Muscogee County Georgia.
Financial Considerations
The owner has maintained the basin since its construction for the period of at

least 2 years therefore the City will be responsible for maintaining the

Detention Basin, 1.11 Acres, located in Third Addition to Whitesville Walk.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
The Public Works Department will be responsible for maintaining the Detention

Basin after acceptance by the City.
Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to the Detention Basin, 1.11 Acres,

located in Third Addition to Whitesville Walk.
