Recommendation

Authorize the City Manager to execute a Quit Claim Deed to the owner of 4827 \n \n 11th Avenue a/k/a Tax Map 032 017 005 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia \n \n City for the 50 ft. X 7.5 ft. alley located along the rear of said property \n \n (see attached letter, tax map is marked in yellow and alley marked in orange).

Background

The owner of 4827 11th Avenue request that the City execute a Quit Claim Deed

to said property for all rights, title and interest the City may have in the 50

ft. X 7.5 ft portion of a 15- ft alley located along the rear of said property.

Analysis

The Engineering Department has examined the alley and has no objection to

abandoning a 7.5 ft. portion of the alley. Written confirmation has been

received from all public utilities stating there are no active utilities

located in this alley.
