Approved
Background
The City received a complaint from the Police Department that vehicles were

parking along the east and west curbs of Bascom Court interfering with two-way

traffic.
Analysis
The Traffic Engineering Division conducted a Parking Survey of all properties

along Bascom Drive for which a copy is attached. We mailed Parking Survey

letters with the parking restriction described above to ten properties

receiving responses from three. All three responders advised that they had

adequate off-street parking, one identified problems with vehicles parking on

both sides of the street and none of the three had a preference as to which

side of the street needed parking restrictions.
Financial Considerations
The installation of the No Parking Anytime Zone will cost the City

approximately $300.00.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
The only annual impact would be the replacement of any damaged signs which

would be funded from the Traffic Engineering Division?s operating budget.
Legal Considerations
A No Parking Anytime Zone requires an ordinance adopted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve a No Parking Anytime Zone along Bascom Court as described above.
