Background

Technology Parkway will be the Primary Arterial roadway that serves Muscogee

Technology Park. A companion resolution will be introduced at the next council

meeting designating, the newly constructed Eastern Connector as a public street

renamed as Technology Parkway. This will rename the two existing road segments

of Lynch Road and Eastern Connector with the same name, Technology Parkway. The

Traffic Engineering Department sent out surveys to the two (2) adjoining land

owners in which no response was received.

Analysis

The final road will run from Macon Road south through Muscogee Technology Park

and intersect Schatulga Road between Buena Vista Road and Forrest Road. The

full length of this road will be named Technology Parkway.

Financial Considerations

The City will install new street name signs to reflect the name change from

their operating budget.

Council must pass an Ordinance approving the name change.
