Approved
-
Background
-
Section 2-18.4.1, adopted in 1997, established a fee system for services
performed by the Department of Engineering. Section 18-36 designates the fees
for work performed on the City's right-of-way.
-
Analysis
-
Fees for services performed by the Department of Engineering have not been
revised since 2001. The proposed changes were presented to the Development
Committee on April 3, 2006 and September 18, 2006. We have received very few
comments regarding the fee changes. Due to variability of fuel, construction
and material cost the sign material bids have changed every 90 days. For this
reason the Department of Engineering will be reviewing the bid every four (4)
months and based on the most current prices adjust the sign cost if needed with
approval of the City Manager. The current fees will be posted on the
Engineering Website.
-
Financial Considerations
-
Revising the fee system will increase revenue for the City and help offset some
of the operating cost.
-

-
Legal Considerations
