Recommendation
Approval is requested to submit a grant application, and if approved, accept \n \n additional funds from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for the \n \n operation of the Muscogee County Juvenile Court, amend the Multi-Governmental \n \n Fund by the amount of the grant award for the current grant period of July 1, \n \n 2014 to June 30, 2015.

Background
Additional funds in the amount of $17,895 have been made available for the

purpose of providing continued services for the effective community program

that is currently serving youth who would otherwise be committed to the

Department of Juvenile Justice and/or sent to a short-term secured program as a

sanction.
Analysis
The Muscogee County Juvenile Court is requesting additional funds to continue

to provide evidenced based treatment and surveillance for juvenile offenders to

service additional youth.
Financial Considerations
The City is not required to provide matching funds to participate in this grant

program.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
There will be no additional expenses and no match requirement. This is a

reimbursement grant.
Legal Considerations
The Columbus Consolidated Government is eligible to apply for additional funds

in the amount of $17,895 from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.

Columbus Consolidated Government is currently under contract with Evidence

Based Associates, LLC who was awarded the contract per the length of the grant

award period.
Recommendations/ Actions
Authorize to submit an application for additional funds and continued services

and if approved accept the funds from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council

for the operation of the Muscogee County Juvenile Court for the grant award

period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015, and to amend the Multi-Governmental

fund by the amount of the additional grant funds award.
