Background
Preservation Court, Preservation Trail, Oakhurst Court and that portion of

Broadleaf Lane located in Section One, Forest Lake has thirty-four (34)

residential lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required

specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Preservation Court, Preservation

Trail, Oakhurst Court and that portion of Broadleaf Lane located in Section

One, Forest Lake. All those lots, tracts or parcels of land situate, lying and

being in Muscogee County, Georgia, designated as all of "Preservation Court,

Preservation Trail, Oakhurst Court and Broadleaf Lane", as said streets are

shown upon a map or plat entitled "Section One Forest Lake, Lying in Land Lot

97, 9th District and Part of Land lots 10 & 23, 18th District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia" prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc. Dated

April 2, 2007, and recorded in Plat Book 160, Page 12 &13, of the records in

the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Preservation Court Preservation

Trail, Oakhurst Court and that portion of Broadleaf Lane located in Section

One, Forest Lake.













A RESOLUTION



NO. _____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO PRESERVATION COURT,

PRESERVATION TRAIL, OAKHURST COURT AND THAT PORTION OF BROADLEAF LANE LOCATED

IN SECTION ONE, FOREST LAKE ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Preservation

Court, Preservation Trial, Oakhurst Court and that portion of Broadleaf Lane

located in Section One, Forest Lake, a full description of said property shown

on said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated April 17, 2007 conveying to Columbus, Georgia

Preservation Court, Preservation Trial, Oakhurst Court and that portion of

Broadleaf Lane located in Section One, Forest Lake be and the same is hereby

accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded

in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a

part of this resolution.
