Background
Upland Court and that portion of Upland Way located in West Addition to

Pinewood has fifty-seven residential lots. The streets have been improved and

meet the required specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Old Upland Court and that

portion of Old Upland Drive located in West Addition to Pinewood. A

description of the property is as follows: All those tracts and parcels of land

lying and being in Land Lot 20 of the 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County,

Georgia and shown as all of Upland Court and Upland Way as said roads and

public rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat of survey entitled "West

Addition to Pinewood, Part of Land Lot 20, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia," prepared by Hobbs Smith & Associates, Inc., dated January 2,

2007, which said plat is recorded in Plat Book 159, Folios 52 and 53, in the

Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Upland Court and that portion of

Upland Way located in West Addition to Pinewood
