development of the National Infantry Museum. The funding will be managed by
the GDOT, and by state law can only be administered to a local government.
Analysis
The funds will be used by the Foundation to help develop the hardscape areas
around the museum (parking, landscaping, etc.). In order to receive these
funds, the City must agree to receive and administer these funds. In turn, the
City will enter into a MOU with the Foundation, that outlines their duties and
responsibilities in receiving these funds from the City.
Financial Considerations
The National Infantry Foundation will receive $5,400,000 in federal funds. The
Foundation is responsibile for providing the required match of $1,350,000 for
this grant program.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
Legal Considerations
The MOU's establish the requirements and obligations for receiving these
funds. Both MOU's have been reviewed by the City Attorney's office
