The Detention Pond was constructed in East Wynnton as part of the HOPE VI
Project and contains 0.97 +/- acres. The owner has maintained the pond since
construction for the period of at least 2 years.

Analysis
-
A deed has been submitted conveying to the City of Columbus a detention pond
located in East Wynnton containing 0.97 +/- acres. Description of the property
is as follows: All that certain tract of land being known and designated as
"Detention Pond Lot/Tract 1" containing 0.97 +/- acres, as said tract is shown
on that certain map or plat of survey entitled "Replat for Columbus
Consolidated Government, Boundary Survey, Lying in Land Lot 90, Coweta Reserve,
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", dated November 11, 2005, prepared by Aaron
M. McCullough, Registered Land Surveyor No. 2990, Jordan Jones & Goulding, and
being recorded in Plat Book 156, Page 118, in the office of the Clerk of
Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

The owner has maintained the pond since its construction for the period of at
least 2 years; therefore, the City will be responsible for maintaining the
Detention Pond / Tract 1 containing 0.97 +/- acres located in East Wynnton.

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated
right-of-ways must be accepted by written resolution by Council.

A RESOLUTION
NO. _____
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THE DETENTION POND / TRACT
1 CONTAINING 0.97 +/- ACRES, LOCATED IN EAST WYNNTON
WHEREAS, a deed has been submitted conveying the Detention Pond / Tract 1
containing 0.97 +/- acres, located in East Wynnton, a full description of said
property being shown in said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said Detention Pond has been completed and maintained by the owner
since construction for a period of at least 2 years and meets the required
specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said Detention Pond and
recommends acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated the 2nd day of September, 2008, conveying to
Columbus, Georgia, all of the Detention Pond / Tract 1 containing 0.97 +/-
acres, located in East Wynnton, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk
of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records
in the Office of The Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said
deed is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this Resolution.
