Background

Funds have been allocated to the State of Georgia to improve the juvenile

justice system in Georgia. Columbus is eligible for an additional $5,000 for

FY06/07.

Analysis

The funds will be used for pre and post dispositional psychologicals. The grant

period begins October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007.

Financial Considerations

The additional funding for $5,000 requires no matching funds. Funds will be

used to provide services for youth referred to Juvenile Court.

Legal Considerations

The Columbus Consolidated Government has been notified of its eligibility to

receive the funds.
