Background
The City has been in a partnership with CORTA for several years concerning

promoting the game of tennis to the surrounding area. Cooper Creek Tennis

Center is the home of this partnership. With a recent expansion project twelve

hard courts and ten clay courts were added to the Tennis Center.

The tennis complex is lacking a sidewalk near the newly built courts, restroom

facility and concession areas. This agreement will add an ADA compliant

sidewalk at Cooper Creek Tennis Center. This is for safety reasons for the

patrons utilizing Cooper Creek Tennis Center when crossing the road to the

newly expanded courts.

Analysis
The expansion of Cooper Creek Tennis Center is a public/private partnership

that is projected to have a significant impact on promoting tennis in

Columbus. The City's partnership with CORTA will continue to provide a

premier competition facility for collegiate, high school, and recreational

tennis tournaments.

Financial Considerations
The total cost of this project is $31,808.00. The City will contribute up to

$15,904.00 for this project from OLOST ROAD Infrastructure Project 92020 Cooper

Creek ADA.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
None is expected.
Legal Considerations
The City Attorney has reviewed the agreement and approved as to form. Council

must approve the agreement with the City and CORTA.

Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the execution of the agreement with CORTA for the addition of an ADA

sidewalk at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.
