Background
LMIG is the GDOT program that is provides funding to counties for resurfacing

and other capital transportation projects. The proposal is to use FY 19 funds

toward the Ft. Benning Road Roundabout and Street scapes Project. The

roundabout project began construction in September 2018 and is expected to be

complete in September 2020.
Analysis
It is necessary to execute the attached LMIG Agreement for 2019 with GDOT in

order to receive the funds and proceed with the project.
Financial Considerations
The FY19 LMIG allocation for Columbus-Muscogee County from GDOT is

$2,073,215.96 with a local 10% match requirement.
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
The completed street scapes and roundabout will be included in the annual

operating/capital budget for normal maintenance.
Legal Considerations
Council must authorize the acceptance of all grants.
