Background

The members of Gallops Senior Center have requested to spend approximately

$400.00 to purchase two exercise bikes for the center?s weight room. Seniors

can benefit tremendously from regular exercise. Seniors have even more to gain

than younger people by becoming more active because they are at higher risk for

the health problems that physical activity can prevent.

Analysis

Parks and Recreation is requesting to receive the two exercise bikes purchased

by the Gallops Senior Center Members to use in the center for all participants.

Financial Considerations

This will be at no cost to the City as it is a private donation.

Council must approve this donation.
