Background

Fair Housing Organization Initiative is a highly competitive grant that awards

up to $325,000 to eligible applicants to produce fair housing for communities.

The application must address the need for the funding and how the fund would be

of use to our community. The application is applied for the purpose of

capacity building fair housing for the City.



The grant is scheduled to be awarded in the fall of 2013 and grantees will be

given 24 months to complete use of the funding for fair housing. Staff is

requesting $150,000.00.
