Background

That portion of Freedom Ridge Drive, that portion of Parapit Drive, that

portion of Magazine Lane, and that portion of Legion Drive located in Section

Two Lexington Hills has Nineteen residential lots. The streets have been

improved and meet the required specifications for acceptance by City.

Analysis

A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying that portion of Freedom Ridge

Drive, that portion of Parapit Drive, that portion of Magazine Lane, and that

portion of Legion Drive located in Section Two Lexington Hills. A description

of the property is as follows: All those lots, tracts and parcels of land

lying and being in Land Lot 4 of the 7th District, Columbus, Muscogee County,

Georgia and shown as all of Parapit Drive, Magazine Lane, Legion Drive and

extension of Freedom Ridge Drive as said roads and public right-of-ways are

shown on the map or plat entitled "Section Two, Lexington Hills, Part of Land

Lot 4, 7th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", prepared by Hobbs

Smith & Associates, Inc., dated September 11, 2006, said plat recorded in Plat

Book 158, page 56, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee

County, Georgia.

Financial Considerations

No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations

In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-ways must be accepted by Council.

Recommendations/ Actions

Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to That portion of Freedom Ridge Drive,

that portion of Parapit Drive, that portion of Magazine Lane, and that portion

of Legion Drive located in Section Two Lexington Hills.
