Authorize the City Manager to renew the lease agreement with the Department of \n \n the Navy for the Navy Reserve Center on 4th Street.

Background

The City has leased the Naval Reserve Center located on 4th Street to the

Department of the Navy since 1947. The most recent lease agreement is due to

expire in June 2014. The lease provides for a 25 year renewal of the lease

upon agreement of both parties. The Department of the Navy has submitted a

letter of interest to continue leasing the facility under the same terms and

conditions as the previous lease for another 25 year period.
