Authorize the City Manager to submit and if approved accept a grant in the \n \n amount of $7500.00 or that approved amount from the Council of Juvenile Court \n \n Judges of Gerogia for the Purchase of Services Grant and to amend the \n \n Multi-Governmental Fund by the amount of the grant award.

Background

Funds have been allocated to the State of Georgia to improve the Juvenile

Justice System in Georgia. Columbus is eligible for $7500.00

Analysis

The funds will be available for counseling services, psychological evaluations,

community service restitution and tutoring.

Financial Considerations

The grant is for $7500.00 or the amount approved with no matching funds. The

funds will be used to provide services for youth referred to Juvenile Court.

Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement

There will be no additional expenses and no match requirement.

Legal Considerations

The Columbus Consolidated Government has been notified of its eligibility to

receive the funds.
