Background

The Georgia Emergency Management Agency encourages all counties in the State of

Georgia to sign a statewide mutual aid agreement. This agreement allows for

assistance to be lent to other Georgia counties and for assistance to be

recieved from other GA counties in the event of an emergency or disaster. The

signed agreement allows for counties to be monetarily reimbursed for any

assistance lent to other counties.

Analysis

We have signed this agreement several times in the past history and it assures

us of reimbursement if we lend equipment or manpower to other counties.

Financial Considerations

This is revenue neutral unless we lend equipment.
