Background
Sandy Bottom Drive, that portion Sandy View Drive and that portion Crestline

Drive located Eighth Addition to Roosevelt Heights has forty (40) residential

lots. The streets have been improved and meet the required specifications for

acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Sandy Bottom Drive, that portion

Sandy View Drive and that portion Crestline Drive located Eighth Addition to

Roosevelt Heights. A description of the property is as follows: All those

lots, tracts and parcels of land lying and being in Land Lot 45 of the 9th

District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, and shown as Sandy Bottom Drive

and extension of Sandy View Drive and Crestline Drive as said roads and public

rights-of-way are shown on the map or plat entitled "Eight Addition to

Roosevelt Heights, Lying in Land Lot 45, 9th District, Columbus, Muscogee

County, Georgia", prepared by Hobbs Smith & Associates, Inc., dated April 17,

2007, said plat recorded in Plat Book 160, page 10, in the Office of the Clerk

of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Sandy Bottom Drive, that portion

Sandy View Drive and that portion Crestline Drive located Eighth Addition to

Roosevelt Heights.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO SANDY BOTTOM DRIVE, THAT

PORTION SANDY VIEW DRIVE AND THAT PORTION CRESTLINE DRIVE LOCATED EIGHT

ADDITION ROOSEVELT HEIGHTS ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying Sandy Bottom

Drive, that portion Sandy View Drive and that portion Crestline Drive located

in the Eight Addition of Roosevelt Heights, a full description of property on

said deed; and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated May 15, 2007, conveying to Columbus, Georgia

Sandy Bottom Drive, that portion Sandy View Drive and that portion Crestline

Drive located in the Eight Addition of Roosevelt Heights be and the same is

hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to have said deed

recorded in the Deed Records in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of

Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is hereto attached and by this

reference made a part of this resolution.
