Initiator
Planning Department
Recommendation
Approve the resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an a \n \n Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Columbus Water Works (CWW) to begin \n \n engineering and design for water and sewer relocation associated with the \n \n Transportation Investment Act (TIA) project for the "Spiderweb" area.
Approval
Pending
Background
The TIA project for the roadway system known as the "Spiderweb" area will

require the reworking of the current Bull Creek bridge. This is largely due to

the age of the present structure and the City's efforts to address the bridge

now, rather than later. In doing so, the current water and sewer lines under

bridge will have to be engineered and eventually moved to accommodate any

improvements.
Analysis
The utility lines under and around the Bull Creek bridge are owned by the CWW,

and will require relocation in order accommodate any improvements to this

structure. An agreement between the City and CWW is necessary to perform the

required engineering and design needed for a project of this type.
Financial Considerations
This MOA will establish a cost to perform the required engineering and design

work not to exceed $181,000. Funds are available under
Projected Annual Fiscal Impact Statement
There is no anticipated annual cost associated with this activity. However,

there will be construction costs for the relocation of these utilities, to be

determined at a later date.
