Recommendation
Authorize the City Manager to execute a Quit Claim Deed to the owner of 1006 \n \n 49th St a/k/a Tax Map 032 017 008 and 4816 Ingram Ave a/k/a Tax Map 032 017 009 \n \n in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia City for the 100 ft. X 7.5 ft. alley \n \n located along the rear of said properties (see attached letter, tax map is \n \n marked in yellow and alley marked in orange).

Background
The owner of 1006 49th St and 4816 Ingram Ave request that the City execute a

Quit Claim Deed to the said property for all rights, title and interest the

City may have in the 100 ft. X 7.5 ft portion of a 15- ft alley located along

the rear of said properties.
Analysis
The Engineering Department has examined the alley and has no objection to

abandoning a 7.5 ft. portion of the alley. Written confirmation has been

received from all public utilities stating there are no active utilities

located in this alley.
