The Detention Pond was constructed for the Sixth Addition of Sun Hill
Subdivision and is 0.635 Acres. The owner has maintained the pond since
construction for the period of at least 2 years.

Analysis

A deed has been submitted conveying to the City of Columbus a detention pond
located in the Sixth Addition of Sun Hill. Description of the property is as
follows: All that tract and parcel of land situate, lying and being in
Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia,, and being known and designated as
"Detention Basin" containing 0.635 acres, as said tract or parcel is shown upon
a map or plat entitled "Sixth Addition to Sun Hill Subdivision, Land Lot 56,
9th District, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia", dated January 2, 2007,
prepared by Moon, Meeks, Mason & Vinson, Inc. and recorded in Plat Book 159,
folio 31 in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County,
Georgia, and to which map or plat is hereby made for a more particular
description of the detention basin hereby conveyed.

The owner has maintained the pond since its construction for the period of at
least 2 years therefore the City will be responsible for maintaining the
Detention Pond, 0635 Acres, located in Sixth Addition of Sun Hill.

A RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED TO THE DETENTION POND, 0.635
ACRES, LOCATED IN SIXTH ADDITION OF SUN HILL ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA.
WHEREAS, Columbus, Georgia has been submitted a deed conveying the Detention
Pond, 0.635 Acres, located in Sixth Addition of Sun Hill, a full description of
said property being shown in said deed; and,
WHEREAS, said Detention Pond has been completed and maintained by the owner
since construction for a period of at least 2 years and meets the required
specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said Detention Pond and
recommends acceptance of same.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
That certain deed dated the 6th day of April, 2009, conveying to
Columbus, Georgia, all of the Detention Pond, .0635 Acres, located in Sixth
Addition of Sun Hill, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council
is hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the deed records in the
Office of The Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of said deed
is hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
