Background
Lakefront Drive, Lakefront Way and Lakefront Court located in Lakefront Estates

has thirty-four (34) residential lots. The streets have been improved and have

met the specifications for acceptance by the City.
Analysis
A deed has been conveyed to the City conveying Lakefront Drive, Lakefront Way

and Lakefront Court located in Lakefront Estates. A description of the property

is as follows: All those tracts and parcels of land situate, lying and being

in Land Lots 142, 143, and 147 of the Coweta Reserve Land District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia and being certain roads and road right-of-ways, more

particularly described as Lakefront Drive, Lakefront Way and Lakefront Court

shown on the three (3) page subdivision plate entitled "Lakefront Estates,

Lying in Land Lots 142, 143 & 147, Coweta Reserve Land District, Columbus,

Muscogee County, Georgia", dated January 2, 2008, prepared by Moon, Meeks,

Mason & Vinson, Inc., surveyors, recorded in Plat Book 161, pages 97-99, in the

Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia.
Financial Considerations
No City funds are involved until maintenance is assumed after the two-year

warranty.

Legal Considerations
In accordance with Section 18-3 of the Columbus Code, all dedicated

right-of-way must be accepted by Council.
Recommendations/ Actions
Approve the Resolution accepting a deed to Lakefront Drive, Lakefront Way and

Lakefront Court located in Lakefront Estates.



A RESOLUTION

NO. _____

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED LAKEFRONT DRIVE, LAKEFRONT

WAY AND LAKEFRONT COURT LOCATED IN LAKEFRONT ESTATES, ON BEHALF OF COLUMBUS,

GEORGIA.

WHEREAS, a deed has been submitted conveying Lakefront Drive, Lakefront Way and

Lakefront Court located in Lakefront Estates, a full description of property on

said deed: and,

WHEREAS, said streets have been improved and meet the required specifications

for acceptance by the City; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has inspected said streets and recommends

acceptance of same.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY

RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That certain deed dated February 25, 2008, conveying to Columbus,

Georgia, Lakefront Drive, Lakefront Way and Lakefront Court located in

Lakefront Estates, be and the same is hereby accepted. The Clerk of Council is

hereby authorized to have said deed recorded in the Deed Records in the Office

of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia. A copy of deed is

hereto attached and by this reference made a part of this resolution.
